The Great Hotels Of The Attractive Vienna
Immerse yourself to reasonably priced luxury in Vienna.
After a full day of walking along the splendid baroque Schonbrunn and Belvedere Palaces, feasting your eyes with the delightful art works in the Albertina, and basking in the glory of the Imperial Palace and St. Stephen's Cathedral, you really do not have any particular urge to end your fine day going home to that budget room in a nearby hostel.
I can identify with closely how you feel because I have experienced it. Back then, I was too tired from all the walking that I decided to go back to the building, where unfortunately, the comfort I longed for could hardly be felt. So the next day, I searched for possible mid-range hotels, just in case the treat-myself-longing comes back and here goes my top two:
Altwienerhof, which is the old-fashioned hotel, is magnificent at a reasonable price. With a little imagination, it can even stand as a miniature type of the grander hotels along the Ringstrasse. Chandeliers are put throughout even in the rooms, giving the place a romantic feel. Rooms are developed with floral bed covers, lace table cloths, and semi-antique accessories. A nice place just one minute away from the train station!
Das Tyrol is the place for people who are into contemporary art; this small luxury hotel is a good choice. With almost every corner of its interior adorned by art, the place seems to be more like a gallery rather than a hotel. Each floor has a exclusive art theme, and if you like Donald Duck and his girlfriend, Daisy, then try asking a reservation
on the third floor. If you are still not convinced, perhaps discovering that breakfast is served with champagne might just win you over.
