A Youth Bash in Vigorous Vienna

The biggest and the grandest youth bashes can only happen in the craziest venue in Austria -- Vienna. Vienna is well-known for its colorful festivals and merrymaking such as the Sounds of Easter, Concordia Ball, and Vienna Jazz Festival. However, there is one party that makes the youths from different parts of the world gather in this city, and this celebration is the Danube Island Festival.

The party is held yearly particularly for young people who yearn to party and to have fun. Every June, Vienna hotels are crammed with teens who want to attend this one-of-a-kind occasion. The festival is the most famous pre-adult bash in Europe that includes non-stop discoing and heart-thumping music playing. The Danube Island Festival is flocked by teenagers and young adults from many countries thus, this festive is a world bash. The organizers of the festival build tents and open-air stages around the site where people can perform and dance. The island also has many drink and food counters where party-goers can have refreshments for free.

Apart from discoing to the loud dance music, some local bands also play in the bash. International artists and celebrities are always spotted in the site during the said spectacular party.

Tasty Cakes At Famous Cafe

Aside from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Austria is famed for a glorious man who once roamed its local streets and later became the best musician in the world. If Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart doesn't ring a bell, then you need to refresh on your sense of principles and humanities. Like his classical works of art, this guy of Austrian descent will linger for all eternity with his soulful rhythm and contribution to music. With great respect for this guy, I visited one of the oldest cafes in Salzburg -- Famous Cafe -- where Mozart was rumored to be a popular guest. Famous Cafe was as old as time could tell, serving its local customers, as early as 1852, with good recipes for cakes and desserts.

Knowing that Mozart was once a living figure in this splendid, I then basked in the setting of this almost historical cafe. Maybe Mozart even drew morale from this place that contributed to the making of his classical works of art -- I couldn't help but think of this possibility! Famous Cafe, for others, may only serve as a great diner for scrumptious cakes and fine-tasting pastries but for me, this is part of history. Aside from the elegant setting and classic atmosphere of this cafe, what added more to my delight are the fresh and nice plates of cakes and desserts-- enough for Mozart to spend his precious time in this fine place in Salzburg.

Austria's Advanced Fashion Artist

Rudi Gernreich maybe very famous for his topless swimwear, but this Austrian-born fashion designer deserves more glory than that. Gernreich was born in Vienna on August 8, 1922 but had to left his area at 16 to avoid the Nazis. He then settled to Los Angeles and got a toil as a dancer for the company, Lester Horton. Many people respected Gernreich more than being the father of topless swimsuit, but also the father of modern American design. He certainly varied the way Westerners dress, especially the women, with his major withdrawal from torpedo-shaped bra to topless or "no bra" brassiere.

His lasting innovations would have been the monokini and pubikini. Monokini is the topless swimsuit and the pubikini is a swimwear with a window of sorts to bare the pubic hair. His bold designs and innovations hailed Gernreich one of the most controversial, original and prophetic artists of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Gernreich's aid to the world was not only limited to vogue. He was also a co-founder of Mattachine Society, the first ever gay liberation effort in the US, but soon spent the latter part of his life cooking at the same time selling soup.

A Place in Austrian Account for the Persisting Hotel Gablerbrau

Vienna is one European country that is not only adorned with innumerable tourist attractions, it is also a sovereignty with deep history. Some of the most cogent figures in world history hail from Austria, and one such famous figure is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This music wonder was born in the Austrian town of Salzburg and his former home is now considered a top tourist attraction by the Austrian jurisdiction.

A tour of Austria will not be complete without getting a sighting of the Mozart mansion. Of course, visiting the snow-capped Alps of Austria is a great joy to see, but for history lovers, sites rich in historical knowledge will always be a prerogative and in Austria, Mozart is definitely history not worth ignoring.

Visiting the historic Mozart residence should be impeccably done by checking in at an Austrian tavern located nearby. For this exact purpose, the perfect place to go to is the Austria Classic Central Hotel Gablerbrau Salzburg, which is established just a stone's throw away from the Mozart home. Getting there from the hotel will only take one minute such that trekkers will have a grand time examining the zone of the house that produced a music wonder.

Of course, other than being neighbor to a historic milepost, the Hotel Gablerbrau offers so much more, including new-fashioned room amenities like satellite TV, telephone, air-conditioning system, and shower room, this despite the fact that the hotel is in existence for nearly 600 years now. Certainly, this is one Austrian tavern that, just like the Mozart mansion deserves a good place in history books.
